The “2022 State of IT” report by Spiceworks Ziff Davis (SWZD), released Tuesday, surveyed more than 1,000 IT buyers in North America and Europe to gauge the direction of trends in IT spending in 2022. “One area of ​​technology where adoption is steadily increasing – despite the pandemic – is emerging security solutions,” the report authors said. “Driven by the need to secure remote workers and the ongoing threat of ransomware, companies will forge ahead with investments in emerging security solutions.”

Overall, organizations plan to increase their adoption of security technologies, but the top five categories are:

Cloud Spending Reflects the Rise of Remote Work
