Yeah, it's weedy as h3ll in some spots. fishing' is usually rough in there, thats why I take the camera along so I have the proof.

I'll second that, nice cat for that lake. If you have checked the DNR stocking done at that lake over the years, it's surprising how many channel ctfish are put in there! Someone must be catching them. The lake looks great in your pic, it used to get real weedy by mid-summer. I wonder if that has improved a lot. I know they treated the lake to knock the shad population down, maybe 6 years ago or more. Some folks got real mad when some crappie and other fish died. I think later they treated the weegs too. But like I said, they have stocked it to build it back up. Thanks

I haven't fished that lake for years. Last time I was there, there were no fish in it !!  ggg  Thats been some 20 years or more ago when one of the local farmers lost a load of amonia in it. They used to put northern pike in there, but like I said that was way back when. Nice catch !!

People love to take their kids fishing and watch them catch their first fish. I took my dad to a farm pond several years ago and he caught his first bass. We caught several in the 2#--4# size biggest fish he had ever caught. First time he had ever used lures, always used minnows or works. wish I had a couple pictures of him with that first #4er. Nice pictures. Charlie
