He was mixing it raw and adding the taco mix, was using taco bell taco mix you can buy it at walmarts. then adding a piece of the wheities ball and raw mixed hamburger to it and molding it around the hook.

Last time I was there the guy sitting next to me was using hamburger/wheaties/taco mix home made bait. He was nailing them bigger carp. I did ok on plain wheaties and uncle josh but going give that mix a try next time I can afford to get up that way.
How do you mix that? Would you cook the hamburger, or mix it raw?

WTG I am hoping to hang on to one of those 65lb blues they stocked last year. Lake three is my favorite cat lake. I always get at least a few runs on live gill bait. And at least one into the net. Fished Hubbards yesterday evening into the mid morning today. My son and I caught 9 fish total(7 carp and 2 blue cats). The carp were caught on various hook baits(sweet corn, flavored corn pops, and flavored sweet corn). The cats came on skipjack chunks.
Carp ranged from 8 to 12 pounds.
Cats were 28 and 16 pounds.
All fish caught out of pond 3.
