DNR] Indiana Dunes State Park field trip grants available
Start Date:    4/23/2012
End Date:    4/23/2012
Entry Description
Educators interested in taking students on field trips to Indiana Dunes State Park in the 2012-2013 school year can receive financial help through the Dunes Conservation Field Trip Grant Program.

This grant program, funded by the Friends of Indiana Dunes group, is for public, private, parochial or home-school educators.

Applications from eligible teachers are due by July 16, and can be found at friendsofindianadunes.org, or at the Indiana Dunes State Park office and nature center. All previous recipients, after completing the required grant reports, are eligible again.

Field trips offer students an opportunity to learn about conservation, wildlife and natural habitats at Indiana Dunes. These learning experiences support science and other academic concepts taught in the classroom.
