I think the deal was he's done at Valpo. Got his degree and is looking to play another year of college ball. He's in a unique situation because he can transfer to a school with a graduate program without taking a one year penalty. Even if he doesn't go to the NBA it's not a bad move but he's clearly looking for that next level. MSU has a spot open, Purdue as I understand it could only accept him if someone transfers or he walks on paying his own tuition but that wouldn't be terribly expensive since it's in state.
I'd like to see him in Gold and Black but Purdue has so many guards someone, or a couple guys, are going to get shafted if it happens.
