Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but he was robbed. Not at the store, but at his home on Shoe Lake. Two hispanics broke in and hit him with a tire iron knocking him down to the ground. One of them had a gun and was threatening to shoot him. They stole $1500 in cash and some guns and other stuff. They have not been caught...yet!

I hope this isn't true, he is a very nice man and always glad to tell the lastest hot spots, he has a great selection of gear and good prices. by far the the best bait shop that I have been too! I highly recommend the #1 bait shop. I hope they catch the creep that did that and hang him high!

I second that!!!! Thats my favorite bait store for sure. I heard a while back that the owner got robbed and roughed up. Anybody know if thats true? I hope not. He has always been really nice to me. If you are ever in the area stop in. You won't be dissapointed.
