Hang in there we are still adjusting things, here is a guideline to help for now.
UPDATED *** 01-26-2010
To make a personal album in the media gallery

Go to the MEDIA GALLERY
at the top click MY ALBUMS
then click ADD USER ALBUM
Then type in the name of the album and a description if you want one. (ex. My Big Fish) Add an ICON if you want one for the folder
skip everything else and go to the bottom of the page and click SUBMIT
(you can edit everything later on if you need to make changes)
You can view and add pictures to your album right away but others will not be able to see it until it is approved by a staff member. Members can have more than one album or nested albums. Let us know if you need help.

To add Pictures to your album

Go to the MEDIA GALLERY
At the top click on MY ALBUMS
Click on the album you wish to add pics to.
(if you only have one album it will be open)
Click on ADD AN ITEM TO THIS ALBUM
Type in a TITLE and DESCRIPTION for your picture if you like
Click the BROWSE button to find your picture on your computer
Add in any KEYWORDS you like to describe your picture
Click SUBMIT at the bottom.

Adding your album pictures to a post in the forums

Find the picture in your album you want to add to your post
Under the picture in the picture info find BBC EMBEDDED CODE
Highlight the code for the picture and copy it including the brackets(ex:[ smg id=1941 ])
(click and drag the mouse pointer across the text to highlight it, then right click on the highlighted text and choose copy)
Go to your post and paste the code where you want the picture
Preview your post to be sure the picture is showing where you want it. By using the embedded code it automatically sizes your photo for the post and makes it a clickable link to a larger size photo. Less hassle for all of us.
Let us know if you need any help with this.

Suggestions for Pictures:

Please keep in mind this is a hunting and fishing site. Your albums and pictures will be viewed by a general audience. The server may try to resize your pictures for you if they are too large. Huge pictures might be rejected. Max pic size is 800x600 pixels with a 200k memory size limit. If you need help with resizing pictures or anything else on the website, please contact one of the staff. We will be glad to help you out.

Hints

Open the Media Gallery in a new window or tab. That way you can look at the gallery in one window and the forum or your post in another window. Makes it a little easier going back and forth, (copy/pasting)

Copy/Paste shortcuts. Hold down the CTRL key and press the C key to copy, the V key to paste, or the X key to cut an item or text. On a MAC use the COMMAND key plus C, V, or X. Sometimes its a little easier than the mouse especially with lots of highlighted text. There are lots of other shortcut keys on the keyboard. Go to MICROSOFT for more shortcuts on a PC, or APPLE for a mac.

This is a community site and we all try to work together to make it great for all the members. Any suggests or comments are always welcome.

NEW PHOTO ALBUM **** UPDATED 01-26-2010
Alright, we do have a new photo album for members to use. I hope maybe it will make it easier for everyone to use.
Look for the MEDIA button on the main menu at the top of the page or click the link below:

MEDIA GALLERY

 1. You can create your own album in this media gallery or you may upload images to the IndianaInfo Public Albums. (instructions below)
 2. You can only load one photo at a time. Mass up-load does not work.
 3. You can post photo's to the message forum using the BBC code. Image code will not work with this.
 4. Any question please let us know.

We will keep the old photobucket album. It does still work and has several photo's in it. Try it out and let me know what you think.
Thanks Hawkeye for installing this  li0
