Plover pit and the other two lakes, are very, very clear lakes. Fish do tend to spook very easy. The lakes have been stocked with muskie for about as long as I can remember, and I'm 4sure getting old !! There are also some monster bass in Plover pit. Wouldn't surprise me to see a new state record bass or muskie from here.
There is good bank access on all three lakes. It is also stocked with channel catfish. Best fishing I've found here is the night bite. There are also hugh gar, and a few flathead and blue cats, and smallmouth that got in there when it flooded.
